"Love is in the water, love is in the air, teach me where to go, tell me will love be there?"- The man knows that love is EVERYWHERE, so he asks Him where to go to find the most of that love. "Oh, Heaven let your light shine down x4,"- He finally sees that Heaven and God are real and is enjoying the new light. "Lay me on the ground, fly me in the sky, show me where to go, tell me what will I find,"- The man is asking God to make him an angel when he dies to prove Himself. "Give me a word, give me a sign, show me where to look, tell me what will I find?"- A man has just begun to believe in God, and he is asking God to prove that he is there, and to show the man where to look for him. I just think it is about people in general. I do think this is a spiritual context, but maybe it wasn't written to Ed Roland himself.
